How to make a Stena Line booking using a Tesco Clubcard Voucher?
Can caravans and trailers be added to my booking?
Yes, they must be confirmed at the time of booking and full payment made at the same time. If they are added at a later date then payment must be made by credit or debit card.
Can I add extra passengers after I have made my original booking?
Yes, you can add extra passengers after you have made your original booking but these must be paid for by credit or debit card.
Can I amend my booking?
Yes, but there may be an additional charge depending on the changes which must be payable at the time of the amendment by credit or debit card.
Can I book standard online fares with a Clubcard voucher?
No, the Clubcard offer is a special promotional fare with it’s own specific terms and conditions. This fare is subject to availability and space may not be available on every sailing for the offer.
Can I change my sailing time or date and will this cost extra?
Yes, you can amend your booking before your date of travel, subject to availability. You may incur additional charges due to the difference in fare and these must be paid by debit or credit card at the time of the amendment. If the fare on the new departure is lower than your previous fare no refund will be made for the difference.
Remember if you have made your booking online, you can amend it online too!
Can I change my original route to another Stena Line route?
Yes, you can mix and match your Stena Line crossing. For example, travel outward from Dublin to Holyhead and return from Fishguard to Rosslare or Cairnryan to Belfast. The choice is yours, subject to availability.
There may be an additional charge due to the change in your day of travel or departure time. Remember if you have made your booking online, you can amend it online too!
Can I get a fare quote before I apply for my Clubcard voucher?
Yes, no problem, but the fare quoted for the travel dates you require may be subject to increase by the time you book with your voucher, so it is imperative to apply for your Clubcard voucher first.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my booking?
If you cancel your booking, the voucher value within the booking will not be refunded but your credit card payment may be, subject to our terms & conditions.
You may change your booking to another date before departure subject to payment of any difference in fare.
Can I make my booking before I apply for my Clubcard voucher from Tesco?
No, you must apply to Tesco first for your Clubcard voucher as we need to know the correct total value of the Clubcard voucher that you are using as part payment or paying in full on your booking, so it can be endorsed accordingly.
In addition if you are booking online, you require a voucher code to enter during the booking process as payment/part-payment. If booking by telephone your voucher code will be requested at the time of booking so please have it to hand when you call (telephone service fee- £10, no service fee if booked online).
Can I pay for upgrades such as cabins with a Clubcard voucher?
Yes you can, but they must be booked as the same time as your original booking online or by phone. A Clubcard voucher is not valid for purchases made onboard our ships or at our ports.
Can I take additional passengers off the booking and get a refund?
No, if you have paid in full with a Clubcard voucher, there is no refund on the voucher value payment.
However, if you have partially paid for the extra person/s on the booking then we can refund you that portion of the payment made by credit or debit card, subject to the terms and conditions of the Tesco fare.
Can I take a van?
If your vehicle is registered for commercial purposes then unfortunately your Clubcard voucher is not valid for payment or part payment when making a reservation for a van.
However, if you are not using your vehicle for commercial purposes, a van of up to 7m in length is valid for travel under the Clubcard offer.
Can I use my friend’s / family’s voucher with my own?
No, your Clubcard voucher is applicable to yourself and other travel vouchers are not transferable.
Can I use my Clubcard voucher for other travel products?
Your Clubcard voucher is not valid for payment or part payment for the following products; Landbridge, Sail & Rail, Express Coach, Hotel Breaks, Self-catering breaks, Day trips or Cruises or small commercial freight vehicles.
Can a part payment be made by credit or debit card?
Yes, payment for all bookings is due at the time of booking.
Can we pay for En-suite cabins with a Clubcard voucher?
Yes, cabins onboard must be booked in advance as part of your original booking.
A Clubcard voucher is not valid for purchases onboard our ships. It is only valid for travel, Stena Plus, en-suite cabins and meals when purchased through our reservation system in one transaction, subject to availability.
I’ve booked my Stena Plus why can’t I add express boarding?
Express boarding is not available with the Tesco fare. It is only available as part of our Premium motorist fare, on selected routes, which is not available for payment with a Clubcard voucher.
Why can’t I book express boarding?
The Tesco fare is a special product which does not include express boarding. You can add our Stena Plus lounge at an additional cost per person single and pay for it with your Clubcard voucher.
Why can’t I book special offers and pay with my Clubcard voucher?
The Tesco product is a special fare that is only valid in conjunction with your Clubcard voucher.
This fare has its own Terms and Conditions and is not valid in conjunction with any other promotional offer or discount and is subject to availability.
