Prize Winner Terms and Conditions

1. ELIGIBILITY

This Stena Line Advent Social Media Competition (the “Competition”) is open to individuals aged 18 years or older who are lawful residents of the United Kingdom or Ireland (“Participants”). Entrants under the age of 18 must have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate.

Employees, directors, officers, contractors, and agents of Stena Line (the “Sponsor”), its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses), as well as members of their households, are not eligible to enter.

By submitting an entry, Participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All rules and decisions made by the Sponsor are final.

Additional eligibility requirement for Week 3:

2. SPONSOR

The Sponsor of this Competition is Stena Line Limited, with registered offices in the United Kingdom.

 

3. COMPETITION PERIOD

The Competition opens on 1 December 2025 and closes on 28 December 2025. Each weekly Competition runs for seven (7) consecutive days.

• Week 1: 1 December – 7 December until 23:59:59
• Week 2: 8 December – 14 December until 23:59:59
• Week 3: 15 December – 21 December until 23:59:59
• Week 4: 22 December – 28 December until 23:59:59

Entries submitted outside these periods will not be considered.

 

4. HOW TO ENTER

To enter, Participants must follow the instructions set out in the relevant weekly Competition post published on Facebook. Entries must include:

• A response to the weekly challenge; and
• A brief explanation of why the Participant believes they should win.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

 

5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

By entering, Participants warrant that:

• their entry is original and does not infringe any third-party rights;
• they have full authority to submit the entry and, if under 18, appropriate parental/guardian consent;
• they will comply with these Terms and Conditions.

The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Participant suspected of fraudulent behaviour, manipulation, or any action inconsistent with the fair operation of the Competition, including the use of automated entry tools.

By entering, Participants consent to receiving communications relevant to the Competition from the Sponsor.

The Sponsor may publicly announce the first and last name of each winner on its official social media channels. Winners may be required to participate in reasonable promotional activity without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

 

6. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

Winners will be selected by a jury appointed by the Sponsor from all eligible entries received. Winners will be notified via public comment or direct message on Facebook or Instagram within five (5) working days of the weekly Competition closing date.

Winners must acknowledge notification within six (6) working days and begin arrangements to claim the prize. If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

7. PRIZE DETAILS

Four (4) prizes are available, one per weekly Competition:

• Week 1 – Free Day Trip for Two:
A complimentary day return trip for one person to either Belfast or Scotland.

• Week 2 – Free Duty Free Day Trip for Two:
A complimentary day return trip for one person, including access to onboard duty free shopping.

• Week 3 – 5,000 Stena MORE Points:
Awarded to one eligible Stena MORE member profile. Points must be redeemed within one (1) year of issuance and won’t affect the winners tier level.

• Week 4 – Free Return Trip Including Car and Two Passengers:
A complimentary return crossing for up to two passengers travelling with one car.

Each week, one (1) prize will be awarded to one (1) winner. The weekly prize will be specified in the corresponding Competition post.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or alternative rewards. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control require it.

Additional costs, taxes, and expenses not expressly stated as included are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Additional terms for car trip prize (week 4): 

  • The prize may be used to travel from Cairnryan - Belfast, Liverpool - Belfast, Holyhead – Dublin, Fishguard – Rosslare or vice versa.

  • All travel must be booked a minimum 14 days in advance of the intended date of travel.

  • This prize is valid for travel for 12 months from date of issue and this duration will not be extended. All travel must be completed prior to expiry date.

  • Additional passengers /towed vehicles / Stena Plus or Hygge Lounge / cabins / Superfast suites may be added to your booking at the appropriate fare.

  • This prize is not transferable under any circumstances.

  • Winners must provide their own car transport.

  • This prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount or through a third party.

  • If booking by telephone a service fee will apply.

 

8. ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS

By entering, Participants assign to the Sponsor all rights, title, and interest in their entry, including copyright. The Sponsor may use, modify, reproduce, publish, or distribute the entry in any media now known or later developed for promotional or marketing purposes without further compensation or approval, unless prohibited by law.

Winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for publicity related to the Competition without further payment.

 

9. TRAVEL CONDITIONS

Where applicable, travel is subject to Stena Line’s General Conditions of Carriage and availability. All tickets issued under this Competition are non-exchangeable and non-transferable. In the event of cancellation by the winner, no alternative or compensation will be provided.

Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with all passport, visa, customs, and immigration requirements. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

The Sponsor accepts no liability for missed departures or associated costs.

 

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Sponsor shall not be liable for any failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, industrial action, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, or technical failures.

The Sponsor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of any prize.

 

11. GENERAL

The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Competition in whole or in part if fraud, technical failures, or other factors compromise its integrity or proper functioning.

The Sponsor may void any entries suspected to violate these Terms and Conditions.

Failure of the Sponsor to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

 

12. PRIVACY

Personal data provided by Participants will be processed by the Sponsor and relevant Stena Line market teams solely for the administration of the Competition and for purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
