To meet increasing demand on the Harwich – Hook of Holland route, Stena Line has invested over £375 million in two brand new Superferries. The Stena Hollandica Superferry launched on the 16th May 2010. The Hollandica's sister ship the Stena Britannica lauched on the 9th of October 2010.
The new Stena Britannica and Stena Hollandica Superferries offer 30% more capacity and exciting new facilities for passengers and cars, giving travellers even more space to unwind. Each Superferry has 5.5km of car deck space, can carry 230 cars, 300 freight vehicles and offers 1,376 beds on board in 538 cabins.
Facilities include buffet and a la carte restaurants; two bars; children's playroom, teenager area; cinema; and Stena Plus Lounge, a media room filled with magazines and newspapers; a news room where you can keep up with the latest local and world news, an internet corner and free wifi.

The Stena Line Superferries were built at Wadan Yards in Wismar, Germany, are 240 metres long and 32 metres wide. Each superferry can accomodate 1200 passengers, 300 freight vehicles and 230 cars and has a service speed of 22 Knots.
The Stena Hollandica and sister ship Stena Britannica are identical in every way and both ships feature, two bars, two restaurants, shop, bureau de change, Stena Plus lounge, internet room, meeting room, casino, news room & magazine lounge, cinema, Curious George childrens area, gaming area, Barista coffee bar, sundeck bar and free Wifi throught the ship.
