At the Port & Terminal
There's free Wi-Fi available in our ports and terminals, allowing you to pass your time browsing between check-in and boarding! Please search for the Stena Line Network powered by "The Cloud" in your Wi-Fi setting on arrival. Once you have accepted the Terms & Conditions, you can browse the internet safely. Please note, network names vary from port to port.

When you are onboard all Stena Line ferries, you can surf the web for free in our public areas. All you need to do open your Wi-Fi settings and is select the "Stena Line Guest Wifi" network.

Please note, the "Stena Line Guest Wifi" service will never be as quick as your home broadband or other land-based internet services. The reason for this being that, all internet data traffic onboard the ships is via satellite. The speed of the internet depends on the available bandwidth provided by the satellite. Therefore it is not possible to access streaming media sites such as Netflix, YouTube, online games and Skype.

Onboard Stena Hollandica & Stena Britannica, we now offer a paid Premium Wi-Fi service. It's available in all cabins & public areas on deck 9. If you would like to find out more information, please enquire at our Guest Service on arrival onboard.

Making phone calls when onboard

When Onboard
It is possible to use your mobile phone onboard however, please note that, the mobile network available onboard our ferries is supplied by Telenor Maritime, therefore, the costs to send/receive SMS messages and to make/receive calls are considerably higher than those charged when onshore.

The costs incurred to your phone bill are out of Stena Line's control. When your mobile phone picks up the Telenor Maritime network when onboard, you will receive an SMS informing you that you have now joined the Telenor Maritime network and that call/SMS rates are charged at the standard International mobile phone rates. These are considerably higher than your regular call/SMS costs, the details of which you should receive from your own service provider.

There is no EU Roaming when Onboard
From 15th June 2017, the EU Officials removed roaming fees when travelling within the European Union. This means that there are no additional charges will be invoiced to your mobile bill when using your mobile phone for voice or data in any another EU country.

However, please note that when onboard Stena Lines ferries, EU roaming is not available because our vessels operate in international waters. Rates for roaming at sea on the Telenor Maritime network will be sent via SMS by your mobile operator.
