Whichever great city you're missing, we can take you there in spirit. Take a digital trip: shopping in gorgeous Glasgow, Instagramming as you amble around enticing Edinburgh or looking all around luscious Liverpool. And we’ll all look forward to the day when you’re allowed to sail there in style and comfort.
Ship building has been replaced by shopping for Glasgow, this is a town built for hitting the stores. Winding your way up and down Sauchiehall Street, Buchanan Street and into Merchant City you can window shop all the big designer names.
Pop into the Metropolitan Bar & Restaurant for cocktails that are truly delicious and photogenic. Then meander West into Ashton Lane for a more unique, alternative and downright amazing time.
Edinburgh is very, very picturesque. It’s packed with historical gems and just by wandering around the cobbled streets you soak up the atmosphere and culture. The Castle looms large over all, blasting a cannon every lunchtime and scaring the shoppers on Princes Street below. Roam the made-for-Instagram Dean Village, Circus Lane and Victoria Street down into the Grassmarket, or head up to Calton Hill for 360º views of this beautifully preserved little gem of a city.
At Liverpool’s redeveloped Royal Albert Docks you can eat, drink, shop and fill up on culture. Tour the funky and wonderful modern art at Tate Liverpool as well as the sobering exhibits of the unique International Slavery Museum. Then drift around checking out all the Beatle and maritime landmarks.
The skyline of Liverpool is stunning at night, and by day is best viewed from one special spot. At the Museum of Liverpool, enjoy over 6,000 pieces of this fab city’s history, each with a story to tell. The overhead railway, Beatles’ stage, and 360º Everton FC film are all topped by the Skylight galleries, the ‘Best Window with a View’ of the Three Graces that loom over the museum: the stunning Royal Liver, Cunard and Port of Liverpool buildings.
