Landmarks
A landmark building of Utrecht is the gothic Dom tower, the tallest church tower in Holland. The cathedral was never fully completed due to lack of money. In 1674 the nave collapsed and the Dom tower became a free standing tower. Another must see is the Rietveld Schröderhuis; the masterpiece by architect Gerrit Rietveld, highlight of ‘De Stijl’ and monument on the World Heritage List.

A Shoppers paradise
Utrecht is a picturesque Dutch city with an array of shops, restaurants and intriguing museums. The Oudegracht (The old canal) runs right through the middle of the town and the cellars on each side of the canal have been converted into restaurants and boutiques. Utrecht is a shopper’s paradise boasting a broad diversity of shops where big brands and small shops are lined side by side. In the museum quarter you will find many surprising museums, one of which is the Dick Bruna Huis. Miffy, the little rabbit Utrecht Dick Bruna designed, is on permanent display.
