Securing your motorcycle onboard the ferry to Holland

Your motorbike will be safe and secure onboard the Stena Line ferry during your crossing from Harwich to Holland.

British Superbike champion, Tommy Hill shows you how to secure your motorbike when travelling with Stena Line to Holland using our simple 6 step lashing process.
Tommy is securing his Yamaha R1 onboard the Stena Britannica Superferry which sails daily from Harwich International Port to Hook of Holland.

Park with stand as normal
1.Park your bike in the designated area as normal using your sidestand.

Thread bike lashing
2.Take a motorbike lashing and hook it to the car-deck.

 
Pass lashing over bike 
3.Pass the lashing over the your saddle.

Secure lashing over bike
4.Hook the lashing into the other side of the car-deck.


Add tension to lashing
5.Tighten the lashing ratchet until there is sufficient tension to hold the bike in-place.


Check motorbike is secure
6.Check that your motorcycle is secure.
