Once Upon A Tide

The exhibition at the National Railway Museum in York celebrates 100 years of North Sea rail-ferry crossings to Europe.

The exhibition which opened on the 10th February 2010 until the 6th September 2010. Located in the great hall the exhibition displayed a large collection of unique posters, personal recollections of travellers and explored over 100 years of North Sea ferry crossings between Harwich and Hook of Holland. The museum's famous turntable was dramatically transformed into a Stena Line RO-RO (roll-on, roll-off) ferry.

The Once Upon a Tide exhibition has now moved to the Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht.
