Hamburg
There are plenty of Christmas markets in the city of Hamburg but our favourite is the one outside the town hall held from 22 November to New Year’s Eve.

Designed by Roncalli Circus wandering circus artistes entertain you as you browse the many stalls bursting with handicrafts, candy, toys, cookies, Glühwein and more.

Plus Santa Claus makes an entrance daily above the rooftops – a delight for children.

Bremen
Also held in front of the town hall – a UNESCO world heritage site – Bremen’s Christmas market from 25 November to 23 December is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway.

The twinkly lights, lovingly decorated stalls, snow covered food stalls by the river, soft carol music and wood fires all add to the romantic feel. Add to that the wonderful aromas coming from the stalls offering Bavarian delicacies and you’re in winter wonderland heaven.
