best way to get a good night sleep....comp beer help
Ship is clean. Room is cleaner then 5 star hotel in Amsterdam. Boarding/disembarkment was smooth and orderly. Shower is spacious but the exposed hot water tube feeding the shower can scold. Did not use the restaurant facility but had a beer and got a really good night rest. Wake up call came too soon.
Free entertainment were provided by the trailer loading activities. Fun watching them maneuver the vehicles with speed and precision. Silly me.
Will return and pick a longer route so I can sleep longer and maybe have a meal onboard.
I have made this crossings quite a few times and overall I have been quite satisfied. The last time however I went to the restaurant for breakfast, I was "helped" by one of the staff. I was rushed through so they could get my money as quickly as possible. Now as you might know the food is not cheap, not very good quality, usually quite cold and you don't get much for your money but to be rushed through and not given time to think was the last straw. My advise, don't bother eating on board.
By far the best way of getting to Holland by car.
For convenience and comfort there is no better way of getting to Holland. Stena's customer service, both on and off board is unrivalled too. I have never known a delay either. My only gripes are the on board WiFi which is very poor and barely works and the food and drink prices, quite excessive in my opinion. £10-12 for a meal with chips or potatoes and at least £4-4.50 a half litre of beer. Ships always spotlessly clean and helpful friendly staff too.
Of je nu heen gaat met de Hollandica en terug met de Brittanica, het blijft een plezierige overtocht
