Frequently Asked Questions

I am a foot passenger. Can my dog travel onboard with me?
No animals are permitted in the passenger areas onboard our southern and central corridor routes (Dublin/Dun Laoghaire – Holyhead & Rosslare - Fishguard) or our Belfast to Liverpool route. Foot passengers may bring small pets in a pet traveller’s case, but they will be placed on the car deck for the duration of the journey. Small dogs are permitted onboard our Belfast – Cairnryan route if they are secured for the duration of the crossing in a pet traveler case. However, this is at the discretion of Stena Line personnel and if requested, passengers may be required to place the animal on the car deck in the dedicated kennel area. On the Belfast to Liverpool route you must book a kennel for your pet. This costs an additional £15 single per kennel and can be booked at step 4 of the booking process. This option will also allow access to your pet throughout the crossing. Not only can you visit your dog but you can also exercise them under controlled conditions.
Guide, hearing and autism assistance dogs are welcome in the Passenger Lounge at the port and onboard all of our crafts.
